Regular Season Round 31: Muenster - Artland 83-77

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Muenster (12-19) beat at home 4th placed Artland Dragons (19-12) 83-77 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Point guard Jasper Guenther (181-1999) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. Four Muenster players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Croatian center Marko Bacak (210-1995) responded with 23 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American guard William Christmas (196-1996, college: CPP) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Muenster maintains fourteenth place with 12-19 record. Artland Dragons lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Giessen. Muenster will meet bottom-ranked Schwenningen (#18) on the road in the next round. Artland Dragons will play against Falcons (#12) and hope to secure a win.
