An interesting game for Alytaus (19-3) which played road game in Vilniaus against one of their biggest challengers Vilniaus univ. (18-5). Second ranked Alytaus managed to get a 7-point victory 65-58. Alytaus forced 23 Vilniaus univ. turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Vilniaus univ. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Alytaus maintains second position with 19-3 record behind leader Kibirkstis-MRU. Vilniaus univ. at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Alytaus are looking forward to face Panevezio (#6) in Panevezys in the next round. Vilniaus univ. will play on the road against the league's leader Kibirkstis-VKM in Vilnius and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
