An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ramnicu Valcea. Second ranked Rm Valcea II faced 4th ranked Politehnica Iasi. Host Rm Valcea II (8-2) smashed guests from Iasi (4-6) 117-59. The game without a history. Rm Valcea II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Politehnica Iasi's 28. American-Indian Ajay Singh (199, college: Westmont, agency: Haylett Sports) contributed with 31 points and 5 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. Hamrick is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rm Valcea II players scored in double figures. Rm Valcea II's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Horia Dragoslav (-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Rares Basescu (-2004) added 22 points in the effort for Politehnica Iasi. Newly promoted Rm Valcea II maintains second position with 8-2 record having just four point less than leader Brasov. Politehnica Iasi at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Sibiu 2. Rm Valcea II will play against Cluj CSU (#7) in Cluj Napoca in the next round where they are favorite.
