There was a surprise result in Denizl where thirteenth ranked Tofas (10-15) defeated higher ranked Merkezefendi (10-15) 95-88 on Sunday. Tofas made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Milton Doyle (193-1993, college: Loyola, IL) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists and the other American import power forward Brady Manek (206-1998, college: UNC) who added 23 points during the contest. Five Tofas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes (193-1994, college: FSU, agency: Diamond Sports) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Altan Erol (195-1983) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Tofas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Merkezefendi. Merkezefendi lost fourth consecutive game.
