There was an upset when higher ranked ratiopharm Ulm (15-13) was defeated on the road by sixteenth ranked Braunschweig (9-19) 84-67 on Sunday. Braunschweig made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Angolan center Jilson Bango (208-1999) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international David Kramer (198-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Five Braunschweig players scored in double figures. Brazilian point guard Yago Matheus (175-1999) produced 29 points and American swingman Brandon Paul (193-1991, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Braunschweig maintains sixteenth position with 9-19 record.
