We should mention about the upset which took place in Rostock, where higher ranked BG Goettingen (16-12) lost to tenth ranked Seawolves (14-15) in a road game 85-94 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BG Goettingen. Seawolves made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Seawolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Point guard JeQuan Lewis (185-1994, college: VCU, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 assists for the winners and point guard Jordan Roland (185-1997, college: Northeastern, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Mark Smith (193-1999, college: Kansas St.) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Rayshaun Hammonds (206-1998, college: Georgia) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Seawolves moved-up to ninth place. Loser BG Goettingen keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Seawolves will meet league's leader ALBA Berlin on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BG Goettingen will play against Braunschweig (#16) and hope to secure a win.
