BasketLigaen top team - Bakken (24-6) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Herlev (11-19) in Aarhus 111-71. Bakken dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Herlev's 36. They outrebounded Herlev 52-29 including a 41-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bakken players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Herlev's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. It was a quality performance for American forward Ryan Evans (202-1990, college: Wisconsin) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Elijah Childs (202-1999, college: Bradley) accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Marqus Marion (204-2004) came up with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin point guard Danijel Marsenic (184-2001) added 5 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Herlev in the defeat. Five Bakken and four Herlev players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 24-6 record, which they share with Naestved and Randers. Herlev lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 19 games lost.
