Second Stage Round 6: Invasport - Chernigiv 89-77

No shocking result in a game in Dnipro where ninth ranked Invasport (6-2) defeated 15th ranked Chernigiv (1-5) 89-77 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-77. Invasport outrebounded Chernigiv 43-25 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Center Yevgen Brechko (206-1992) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Ivan Dudar (180-1998) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Invasport's coach Stanislav Kakovkin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Mykhailo Pyrak (183-2002) with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Vladimir Chekhun (195-1984) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Invasport have an impressive six-game winning streak. Despite that victory Invasport went down to tenth position due to points difference, which they share with Khmelnytskyi. Chernigiv lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth place with five games lost.
