Second Stage Round 6: Khmelnytskyi - MBC-Niko 2 65-94

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Khmelnytskyi's (6-2) home loss to tenth ranked MBC-Niko 2 (6-1) 65-94 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by MBC-Niko 2. Khmelnytskyi managed to win second period 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MBC-Niko 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Khmelnytskyi's 32. They outrebounded Khmelnytskyi 58-32 including a 43-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. MBC-Niko 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Swingman Oleksiy Kochura (195-2001) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 20 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Maksym Shtanko (200-1999) chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four MBC-Niko 2 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Vadim Paliukh (190-1994) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Nikita Kohut (197-2002) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Khmelnytskyi's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. MBC-Niko 2 moved-up to ninth place. Loser Khmelnytskyi dropped to the tenth position with two games lost. They share it with Invasport.
