Runa Basket outrebounded TSU 42-21 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. TSU was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Mike Davis (193-1996, college: Queens, NC) notched 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-1988, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 18 points and 4 assists by guard Ivan Pynko (196-2000) did not help to save the game for TSU. Point guard Dmitriy Makeev (191-1996) added 18 points and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
