Undefeated MBC-Niko 2 (6-1) recorded its first loss in Mykolaiv on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by thirteenth ranked Vinnitsky Zubry (5-3) 94-87. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 47-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Vinnitsky Zubry looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Yaroslav Bondar (198-1992) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Oleksandr Sliusarev (191-1997) chipped in 21 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Oleksiy Kochura (195-2001) who recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and guard Bogdan Lukian (183-1999) added 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Five Vinnitsky Zubry and four MBC-Niko 2 players scored in double figures. Vinnitsky Zubry have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with SumDU and Kalush-PNU. MBC-Niko 2 at the other side dropped to the ninth position with one game lost.
