Regular Season Round 29: Lietkabelis - Prienai 81-75
Date: April 23, 2023
Very predictable result in Panevezys where fourth ranked Lietkabelis (19-10) defeated bottom-ranked Prienai (4-25) 81-75 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Lietkabelis made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Lietkabelis outrebounded Prienai 36-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamaee (194-1999) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Mantas Rubstavicius (198-2002) chipped in 18 points. Lietkabelis' coach Nenad Canak used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international forward Darius Tarvydas (199-1991) produced 15 points and guard Domantas Vilys (188-2000) added 16 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for Lietkabelis. They maintain fourth place with 19-10 record. Prienai lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Lietkabelis will meet Siauliai (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Prienai will play against Neptunas and hope to secure a win.
