Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Dacka (13-13) was outscored by third ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (19-7) in Izmir 101-76 on Sunday. Pinar Karsiyaka made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Dacka turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 23 on the defensive glass. Pinar Karsiyaka looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American guard Errick McCollum (188-1988, college: Goshen) nailed 28 points and 8 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side and the former international forward Berkan Durmaz (206-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. American point guard Markel Starks (187-1991, college: Georgetown) came up with 15 points and the former international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) added 9 points and 7 assists respectively for Dacka in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pinar Karsiyaka maintains third place with 19-7 record having just three points less than leader Turk Telekom. Loser Dacka keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost.
