Second Stage Round 6: Rivne - Krivbas 2 77-63

There was a small surprise when first ranked Rivne (9-1) won against at home their close opponent Krivbas 2 (7-3) 77-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Rivne. Krivbas 2 managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rivne dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Krivbas 2's 24. Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (206-1982, college: Binghamton, agency: BIG) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Oleksii Soloviov (192-1997) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Rivne players scored in double figures. Rivne's coach Mikhail Pereverziy used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Anatoly Chelovan (208-1991, agency: BIG) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Anton Melnyk (196-1999) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Rivne have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record which they share with defeated Krivbas 2. Newly promoted Krivbas 2 still keeps top place with three games lost.
