Very expected game when bottom-ranked Poltava (0-7) was rolled over at home by eleventh ranked Khmelnytskyi (6-2) 69-43 on Sunday. The game without a history. Khmelnytskyi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Poltava to just 7 points in third quarter. Khmelnytskyi held Poltava to an opponent 22.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 30.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Khmelnytskyi forced 25 Poltava turnovers and outrebounded them 58-46 including 18 on the offensive glass. Yehor Hlushchenko (-2004) scored 6 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sergiy Yaroshevich (189-2003) chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Khmelnytskyi's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Mykola Boichak with 17 points and Volodymyr Vyunytskyi produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Khmelnytskyi moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Invasport. Newly promoted Poltava still closes the standings with seven games lost.
