Bottom-ranked Bayreuth managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the four-game losing streak. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Skyliners in Frankfurt 113-107. Bayreuth made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game, while Skyliners only scored ten points from the stripe. Bayreuth shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 65.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Skyliners were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Otis Livingston II (180-1996, college: GMU) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Skyliners players scored in double figures. Bayreuth maintains eighteenth position with 6-23 record. Skyliners at the other side keep the seventeenth place with 22 games lost. Bayreuth will play against higher ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (#12) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Skyliners will play against Braunschweig (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
