Regular Season Round 31: Ludwigsburg - Weissenfels 104-100
Date: April 26, 2023
There was no surprise when 14th ranked MBC (10-19) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (18-13) 104-100 on Wednesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. EnBW Ludwigsburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Prentiss Hubb (190-1999, college: Notre Dame, agency: Green Sports Management) fired 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import Shonn Miller (201-1993, college: UConn) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach Josh King used entire bench in such tough game. American point guard Charles Callison (185-1995, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) produced 26 points and 5 assists and Martin Breunig (203-1992, college: Montana) added 10 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg and four MBC players scored in double figures. EnBW Ludwigsburg maintains fifth place with 18-13 record, which they share with Goettingen. Loser MBC keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet higher ranked EWE Baskets (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
