The game in Sibiu supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Rm Valcea II (10-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Sibiu 2 (4-8). Rm Valcea II smashed Sibiu 2 104-73. It looked good early as Sibiu 2 took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rm Valcea II had a 26-23 second period charge getting the lead and Sibiu 2 was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-104. Rm Valcea II players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Lamar Hamrick (193-1998, college: Portland St., agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) and American-Indian Ajay Singh (199, college: Westmont, agency: Haylett Sports) who added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Hamrick is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Vlad Georgescu (-2000) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Victor Georgescu (186-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Rm Valcea II and four Sibiu 2 players scored in double figures. Sibiu 2's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Rm Valcea II have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Rm Valcea II maintains second position with 10-2 record having just eight point less than leader Brasov. Sibiu 2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Craiova 2. Rm Valcea II will play against league's leader Brasov at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sibiu 2 will play against Craiova 2 (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
