There was no surprise when 14th ranked Gaziantep (9-19) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Efes (19-8) 106-82 on Friday. Efes shot 61.7 percent from the field and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Efes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. It was a great evening for the former international guard Shane Larkin (182-1992, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. The former international guard Ahmet Tuncer (193-1993) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was Georgian-American point guard Conner Frankamp (185-1995, college: Wichita St.) with 18 points and 5 assists and American swingman Damyean Dotson (196-1994, college: Houston) scored 22 points. Five Efes and four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Efes maintains fourth place with 19-8 record. Loser Gaziantep keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Besiktas. Efes will meet at home league's leader Turk Telekom in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gaziantep will play against Socar Petkim (#11) and hope to secure a win.
