Regular Season Round 27: Tofas - Darussafaka 94-93

A very close game took place in Bursa between Tofas and Dacka. Ninth ranked Tofas (13-15) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Dacka (14-14). Tofas managed to escape with a 1-point win 94-93 on Saturday evening. Tofas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Rob Gray (186-1994, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 assists. Senegalese center Boubacar Toure (213-1995, college: EMU) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Tofas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-1991, college: Iowa) with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tofas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place. Loser Dacka keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. Tofas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bursa to the arena Bursaspor.
