Seventh-ranked ratiopharm Ulm (18-16) gave a tough game to first ranked Telekom Baskets (32-2) in Bonn on Sunday. Telekom Baskets managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ratiopharm Ulm. Telekom Baskets made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Telekom Baskets had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-North Macedonian point guard TJ Shorts (175-1997, college: UC Davis) scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American Collin Malcolm (200-1997, college: WPU) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Shorts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Telekom Baskets' coach Tuomas Iisalo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American swingman Brandon Paul (193-1991, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 23 points and 6 steals and his fellow American import forward Josh Hawley (201-1996, college: Tarleton St.) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Telekom Baskets have an impressive 20-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 32-2 record. ratiopharm Ulm at the other side keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost.
