Regular Season Round 27: Manisa - Buyukcekmece 87-74

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Manisa (11-17) beat at home higher ranked Buyukcekmece (12-16) 87-74 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Bosnian-American guard John Roberson (180-1988, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!). Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-1991, college: Siena) helped adding 6 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-1990, college: BGSU, agency: Slash Sports) with 28 points and 6 assists and Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-1996) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Buyukcekmece players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Manisa moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Merkezefendi. Loser Buyukcekmece keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Galatasaray and Bahcesehir. Manisa will meet bottom-ranked Konyaspor (#16) on the road in the next round. Buyukcekmece will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
