Second Stage Round 13: Laguna - Agronomia 61-66

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bucuresti: Agronomia (#3) and Laguna (#8). Laguna was defeated at home 61-66 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Laguna was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Laguna 43-32 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Dumitru Potcoava (197-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Adrian Movileanu (195-1993, agency: BIG) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Robert Papuc (-2005) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Marc Mitrica (182-2004) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Agronomia maintains third place with 9-4 record having just eight point less than leader Brasov. Laguna lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Agronomia are looking forward to face Cluj CSU (#7) in Cluj Napoca in the next round. Laguna will play on the road against the league's leader Brasov and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
