There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Buyukcekmece (13-16) beat at home higher ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (20-9) 85-72 on Friday. The winners were led by American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-1990, college: BGSU, agency: Slash Sports) who scored that evening 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists and Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-1996) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Even 16 points and 7 assists by Colombian swingman Braian Angola-Rodas (198-1994, college: FSU) did not help to save the game for Pinar Karsiyaka. Lithuanian forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas (205-1989) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Buyukcekmece moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Galatasaray and Bahcesehir. Loser Pinar Karsiyaka dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost.
