Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Istanbul: Fenerbahce (#2) and Dacka (#6). Dacka was defeated at home 73-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Fenerbahce forced 19 Dacka turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Nigel Hayes-Davis (203-1994, college: Wisconsin) who scored that evening 16 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian forward Dyshawn Pierre (198-1993, college: Dayton) supported him with 14 points. Even 20 points by the former international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) did not help to save the game for Dacka. International power forward Ercan Osmani (206-1998) added 12 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains second position with 22-5 record having 2 victories less than leader Turk Telekom. Loser Dacka keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Tofas.
