The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Turk Telekom (24-5) in Istanbul on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Efes (20-8) 102-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Turk Telekom. Efes made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Ante Zizic (209-1997) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-1994) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Nigerian center Micheal Eric (211-1988, college: Temple) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Tony Taylor (184-1990, college: GWU) added 15 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Turk Telekom. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's coach Erdem Can rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Efes moved-up to third place. Turk Telekom at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost.
