Very predictable result in Izmir where fourth ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (21-9) defeated bottom-ranked Konyaspor (7-23) 95-89 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Pinar Karsiyaka looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Dominican Angel Delgado (208-1994, college: Seton Hall) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Errick McCollum (188-1988, college: Goshen) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. Five Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. Pinar Karsiyaka's coach Ufuk Sarica used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-American Rasheed Sulaimon (193-1994, college: Maryland) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and American forward Jarell Eddie (201-1991, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests.
