Skyliners used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Bayreuth 66-63 on Sunday night. They outrebounded Bayreuth 45-26 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Booker Coplin (191-1997, college: Augsburg, agency: BIG) nailed 16 points for the winning side and Canadian forward David Muenkat (201-2000, college: St.Francis X.) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Aaron Carver (201-1996, college: ODU) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and Swiss guard Selim Fofana (193-1999) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for Bayreuth in the defeat. Skyliners will meet Muenster on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bayreuth will play against Koblenz and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the BBL just one year after relegation.
