Regular Season Round 2: BSW Sixers - Wolmirstedt 73-71

A very close game took place in Sandersdorf between Sixers and Wolmirstedt. Sixers got a very close home victory over Wolmirstedt. Sixers managed to escape with a 2-point win 73-71 on Tuesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American swingman Donte Nicholas (196-1987, college: FPU) notched 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and point guard Nico Wenzl (185-2001) supported him with 16 points. Four Sixers players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by Lennard Winter (195-2000) did not help to save the game for Wolmirstedt. Maximilian Begue (192-2001) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Wolmirstedt's coach Eiko Potthast rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sixers will meet Schwelm on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wolmirstedt will play against Leverkusen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
