Regular Season Round 2: Schwenningen - Rhoendorf 90-93
Date: October 3, 2023
Very predictable result when Dragons Rhoendorf edged on the road Schwenningen 93-90 on Tuesday. Dragons Rhoendorf had a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Avery Sullivan (203-1999, college: Lamar) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized American guard Kelvin Omojola (183-1997, college: Northwest) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Dragons Rhoendorf's coach Stephan Blode used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by center Christian Okolie (206-2000) did not help to save the game for Schwenningen. Icelandic point guard Agust Kjartansson (186-2004) added 11 points and 11 assists for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dragons Rhoendorf will meet at home Skyliners II in the next round. Schwenningen will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
