We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when Siauliai was defeated at home by Aistes-LSMU 67-57 on Friday. Aistes-LSMU forced 20 Siauliai turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international Karolina Kazociunaite (180-1999) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Gintare Mazionyte (186-1991, college: Texas) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and Kenyan center Mercy Wanyama (185-1992) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Aistes-LSMU will meet Neptunas in the next round. Siauliai will play against LCC Klaipeda and hope to win that game.
