Rather predictable result when Dragons Rhoendorf (3-0) defeated at home Skyliners II (1-2) 106-99 on Saturday. Dragons Rhoendorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Kelvin Omojola (183-1997, college: Northwest) who scored 15 points and 9 assists. Croatian point guard Matej Silic (188-2003) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Trevian Bell (201, college: Lewis) who recorded 31 points and center Florian Dietrich (203-2000) added 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dragons Rhoendorf will meet Loewen (#5) in the next round. Skyliners II will play against Bayern and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
