Regular Season Round 2: Rytas 2 - Stekas 86-95

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Vilnius: Stekas and Rytas 2. Rytas 2 was defeated at home 86-95 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Stekas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Paulius Semaska (184-1993) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists to lead the effort and forward Karolis Brusokas (202-1991) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds by Gediminas Alisas (196-2004) did not help to save the game for Rytas 2. Guard Arunas Rimkus (194-2004) added 15 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Stekas will meet Jurbarkas on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rytas 2 will play against Atletas in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
