Regular Season Round 1: UDW Alligators - Towers 76-63

Alligators used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kufstein 76-63 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Alligators led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Alligators forced 19 Towers turnovers and outrebounded them 53-34 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Slovakian forward Matej Drgon (206-1998, college: NWOSU) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and forward Luiso God (200-2003) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian forward Duje Putnik (203-2001) came up with 24 points and 9 rebounds and forward Fabio Thaler (198-1992) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Towers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alligators will meet Mustangs in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Towers will play against BBU and hope to win that game.
