But Nord Dragonz was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Wels 86-82 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 16 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels outrebounded Nord Dragonz 36-25 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Arvydas Gydra (206-1989) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Dejan Kovacevic (190-2004) chipped in 20 points. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels' coach Sebastian Waser used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Lukas Hahn (190-1999) produced 28 points and Croatian center Mario Spaleta (209-1995) added 20 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) respectively for the hosts. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will meet at home Arkadia Lions in the next round. Nord Dragonz will play against Dukes and hope to win that game.
