There was no surprise when Oldenburg lost at home to Young Dragons 76-68 on Sunday. Young Dragons made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game, while Oldenburg only scored nine points from the stripe. Strangely Oldenburg outrebounded Young Dragons 35-23 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Young Dragons made 8 blocks. Point guard Jack Kayil (192-2006) notched 31 points to lead the effort and Linus Trettin (203-2005) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists by forward Lazar Klaric (200-2006) did not help to save the game for Oldenburg. Guard Simon Kohlhoff (190-2006) added 12 points for the hosts. Young Dragons will meet at home Piraten in the next round. Oldenburg will play against Paderborn and hope to win that game.
