Telekom Baskets used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Weissenfels 100-73 on Monday night. Telekom Baskets made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Till Pape (206-1997) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Christian Sengfelder (203-1995, college: Boise St.) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American center John Bryant (211-1987, college: Santa Clara) who recorded 15 points and Martin Breunig (203-1992, college: Montana) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Telekom Baskets will meet EnBW Ludwigsburg (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
