Regular Season Round 1: VKM - Perkunas 86-75

VKM used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Kaunas 86-75 on Tuesday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. VKM forced 19 Perkunas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Swingman Titas Troska (191-2006) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Dziugas Remeikis (190-2006) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists. Five VKM players scored in double figures. Point guard Paulius Lukasevicius (178-2006) produced 31 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Dominykas Grunkis (164-2007) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. VKM will meet Alytaus on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Perkunas will play against Druskininku and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
