Very expected game in Denizl where Merkezefendi (0-3) was defeated by Tofas (2-1) 97-93 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American swingman Caleb Homesley (198-1996, college: Liberty) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import point guard Cassius Winston (185-1997, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian Rihards Lomazs (190-1996) who recorded 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Daniel Oturu (208-1999, college: Minnesota) added 24 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Five Tofas and four Merkezefendi players scored in double figures.
