Not a big story in a game when Timisoara (2-2) was rolled over on the road by Cluj Napoca (3-0) 91-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Cluj Napoca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Timisoara's 26. Cluj Napoca looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Emanuel Cate (207-1997) who scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Mihai Maciuca (193-2000, agency: VM Hoops Agency) chipped in 17 points. Four Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Makale Foreman (185-1997, college: California) who recorded 16 points and 4 assists and Serbian-Bosnian point guard Nikola Gajic (195-1991, college: SF Austin) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cluj Napoca will meet Dinamo B. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Timisoara will play against Rapid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
