Regular Season Round 1: RBA Getica - Agronomia 52-79

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bucuresti: Agronomia and RBA Getica. RBA Getica was crushed at home by 27 points 52-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Agronomia. RBA Getica managed to win second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Agronomia forced 25 RBA Getica turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by RBA Getica's players. Bogdan Andronic (-2003) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and forward Mihnea Buligescu (-2001) accounted for 8 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. Robert Papuc (-2005) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and center Marian Cochela (202-2003) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for RBA Getica in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Agronomia will meet at home Timisoara 2 in the next round. RBA Getica will play against Ploiesti CSU and hope to win that game.
