Regular Season Round 4: Bball Loewen - Rhoendorf 85-91
Date: October 15, 2023
Not a big story in a game in Erfurt where 4th ranked Loewen (2-2) was defeated by top-ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (4-0) 91-85 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Avery Sullivan (203-1999, college: Lamar) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American guard Kelvin Omojola (183-1997, college: Northwest) who added 17 points during the contest. Five Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Tyseem Lyles (185-1992, college: Mercy) responded with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jan Heber (186-1998) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dragons Rhoendorf have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Leverkusen. Loser Loewen keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with 11 other teams. Dragons Rhoendorf will meet at home Deisenhofen (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Loewen will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen and hope to secure a win.
