Very predictable result when top-ranked Leverkusen (4-0) beat at home 11th ranked Seawolves 2 (1-3) 84-75 on Sunday. Leverkusen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Trey McBride (188-1997, college: Northwood) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian-Bosnian Marko Boksic (203-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Leverkusen players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Branden Maughmer (190-1999, college: Morehead St.) responded with 26 points and 6 assists and forward Toni Nickel (204-2001) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leverkusen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Rhoendorf. Seawolves 2 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. They share the position with 8 other teams. Leverkusen will meet Herford (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Seawolves 2 will play against Sixers and hope to win that game.
