We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when Oradea 2 was smashed by Rm Valcea 2 in Ramnicu Valcea 96-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Rm Valcea 2. Oradea 2 managed to win third quarter 27-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rm Valcea 2 forced 21 Oradea 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Oradea 2's players. Guard Andreas Blidaru (183-2006) nailed 24 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals for the winning side and George Vlad (-2000) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Rm Valcea 2's coach Darko Pandurovic felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Raul Muresan (202) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and center Karol Marian Schmidt (205-2004) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Oradea 2 in the defeat. Five Rm Valcea 2 and four Oradea 2 players scored in double figures. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
