Regular Season Round 2: Bursaspor - Pinar Karsiyaka 66-73

There was a surprise result when Pinar Karsiyaka beat on the road Bursaspor 73-66 on Friday. Pinar Karsiyaka dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bursaspor's 26. They outrebounded Bursaspor 49-31 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Huseyin Sevig (201-2005) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Efe Yilmaz (-2006) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Berk Akin (188-2005) responded with 24 points and Berkan Baykurt (-2006) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pinar Karsiyaka will meet at home Besiktas in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bursaspor will play against Ege Asist in Izmir and hope to win that game.
