There was no surprise in Izmir where 12th ranked Urla (2-4) was crushed by seventh ranked Adana (4-2) 73-48 on Saturday. Adana held Urla to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Urla's players. Ilknur Yildizhan (186-1996) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and DR Congolese power forward Chanel Mokango (188-1988, college: MSU) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Adana players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Fatma Icacan (-2001) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Irem Tulgar (-1990) scored 5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adana moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Turgutlu and Bodrum. Urla lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with Bogazici. Adana will meet at home bottom-ranked Mersin G. (#16) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Urla will play against Cankirispor (#15) and hope to secure a win.
