Regular Season Round 7: Rendsburg - Wusterhausen 60-72

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Wusterhausen (1-3) defeated on the road 10th ranked Rendsburg (1-4) 72-60 on Saturday. Swingman Dennis Teucher (200-1996) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Naturalized British center Malik Eichler (213-1997, college: Madonna) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Wusterhausen players scored in double figures. Forward Malte Jacobsen (196) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Josh Meyer (201, college: S.Oregon) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wusterhausen left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Braunschweig and Bamberg. Loser Rendsburg dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with Hanau. Wusterhausen will meet at home higher ranked Aschersleben (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rendsburg will have a break next round.
