The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Gladiators (3-1) on the court of sixth ranked Phoenix Hagen on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Phoenix Hagen 76-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gladiators. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Siler Schneider (191-1995, college: UC Davis, agency: One Motive Sports) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Kristofer Krause (190-2000) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Schneider is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international center Maik Zirbes (208-1990) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Marcus Graves (185-1996, college: Sacramento St.) added 11 points and 7 assists in the effort for Gladiators. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gladiators' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Phoenix Hagen moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Gladiators. Phoenix Hagen is looking forward to face Artland Dragons (#17) in Quakenbrueck in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gladiators will play at home against Lions (#9) and are hoping to win this game.
