There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Telekom Baskets (2-2) beat on the road higher ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (1-2) 91-86 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Norwegian point guard Harald Frey (188-1997, college: Montana St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and Till Pape (206-1997) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Desure Buie (179-1997, college: Hofstra) responded with 16 points and 8 assists and his fellow American import guard Jayvon Graves (191-1998, college: Buffalo) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Telekom Baskets moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Braunschweig. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. They share it with Bamberg and Rostock. Telekom Baskets will meet at home Hakro Merlins (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against the league's leader ratiopharm Ulm (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
