Regular Season Round 2: Turk Telekom - Darussafaka 70-83

There was no surprise in Ankara where Turk Telekom was defeated by Darussafaka 83-70 on Saturday. Darussafaka dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom's 24. Darussafaka forced 23 Turk Telekom turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Tyron Bourne (-2005) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Yaman Alisan (193-2006) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Erim Lif (-2005) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Oguz Yarkut (-2006) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Darussafaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Anadolu Efes.
